ECOS DE PEDRA I MEMÒRIA

Ecos de Pedra i Memòria is the work developed during the Residency F/16 of documentary creation in Menorca, during the summer of 2024. The research is based on the Talayotic heritage of Menorca and on the work of Margaret Murray, a pioneer in developing a scientific archaeological excavation in the ‘illa, at the beginning of the 20th century. What mark did it leave and how can we observe it today?

Natxa Pomar. Graduated in audiovisual communication, has a master’s degree in photography, sociology and pedagogical training. His work revolves around artistic-sociological research through photography, video and the written word.

MAR DE LUTO

Mar de luto is the result of years of work documenting the different migratory routes to Europe by sea. On these routes, the deaths do not stop and many times the wrecks are invisible. The project combines the journalistic research of these shipwrecks accompanying the tireless search of the relatives with portraits that the families use to try to obtain some kind of information.

Anna Surinyach. Journalist and photographer. He has focused on migration and human rights in different parts of the world. He started working for Doctors Without Borders, which he always explains was his school. Since 2015 she is co-founder and graphic editor of the magazine specializing in narrative journalism 5 W and member of the photography collective Women Photograph.
