INSTRUCCIONS PER CAMINAR UN CAMÍ

The publication Instruccions per caminar un camí is the result of the work done during the photography residency F/16 (2023) of the visual artist, teacher and cultural promoter María Sainz. The project starts from one of the most identifying elements of Menorca, the Camí de Cavalls. It addresses the transformations of a fragile ecosystem that tries to resist contemporary aggressions while preserving the island’s memory and landscape heritage.

María Sainz Arandia is a visual artist, teacher and cultural dynamizer based in Valencia. It uses image as a research and reflection strategy, and develops proposals that explore the relationships between human beings and their environment. She has carried out participatory artistic projects with different groups and is co-founder and co-editor of the contemporary photography magazine VA!
