FORASTERS
With Marijo Ribas
The concept “foraster” in Mallorca is comparable to “xarnego” in Catalonia or “maqueto” in the Basque Country. The aim of this photobook is to re-signify the term and carry out a process of semantic ennoblement, focusing on the author’s family history.
Marijo Ribas holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s Degree in Artistic Production from the University of Barcelona. He has exhibited internationally (Malta, Finland, the Netherlands, etc.) and in prominent centres in the peninsula such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, the CCCB in Barcelona or LABoral Centro de Arte in Zaragoza. He has also held residencies in Berlin, Edinburgh, Belgrade, Madrid and other European cities.

GYPSY WITCHES
With Sílvia Prió
Legend has it that the Roma come from Agartha, an underground region, magical and inaccessible to the depths of the earth. They returned to this world that possessed the mystery of the omens according to the letters, the magical knowledge of the herbs and the chiromance.
This book is the result of the author’s train journey from all over Romania to the border of Moldova, which encourages the search for knowledge of the hidden sciences.
Prió has a degree in Fine Arts from the UB, with an Extraordinary Prize in Photography and a Diploma in Documentary Cinema (UIB). He has received scholarships from the Institute of Balearic and VEGAP Studies, and awards such as Michael Horbach and Visual Korner. He has exhibited internationally, as in Les Rencontres d’Arles 2025. His artistic work focuses on identity, borders and anthropological research.

SANT LLUÍS NO ÉS MISSOURI
With David Arquimbau
«Sant Lluís no és Missouri» is a protest cry, satisfied with nostalgia in favor of the preservation of those gestures, traditions, ways and customs that configure the local identity of the island of Menorca, represented, in this case, by the municipality of “Santlluïser”. It is a touch of attention to be attentive to not lose our smell, the perfume that identifies us, blame for this wind of forced transformation that has already blown the door and has buried both feet inside our house.
The radius of action and work of Archimbau as an author photographer is limited to the island of Menorca, where his universe belongs. He observes and speaks of the reality that surrounds him and of himself with knowledge of the territory.

IF YOU BLINK… THEY DISAPPEAR
With Tomeu Coll
“Fained faces, looks that float between nostalgia and disenchantment, as if time was about to break. Bodies that derive between survival and abandonment, a carnival of faces that do not seek redemption. These are the ones who live in the cracks of the city, those who hold the night with their shadow. The photographer does not romance or judge them: he simply lets them be. As part of a rough poem, without beautiful verses. These are the imagined suburbs: New York, Berlin, Barcelona, Palma… Tomeu Coll caresses them with the coldness of a forensic medium and with the tenderness of someone who knows that, deep down, we are all just passing through. There is no narrative, only suspended moments in a world that collapses, but still beats. If you blink, they disappear”,
Patrick Ridray, 2025
