Project of dissemination and awareness through photography and documentary film to work with young students of ESO and Baccalaureate
THE PROJECT
AULA DOC is a project that seeks to sensitize students of ESO, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training of the different institutes of Menorca through the viewing of documentaries and the subsequent joint debate. Based on the feature films and documentary short films selected from among those presented in the official MDF section, the visualization of online audiovisuals and the realization of pedagogical activities to educate the gaze and achieve ethical values from the films.
FILM AND DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL
Audiovisual photography and documentary film competition focused on different aspects of a social nature, paying special attention to migrations, human rights and the situation of vulnerable groups. The festival takes place during the last weekend of October in different rooms of Menorca
OBJECTIVES
MDF documentaries are a tool for dissemination and generation of debate, creation of a critical spirit and knowledge of other realities.
Through audiovisual, the aim is to promote openness to new perspectives, knowledge of facts, people and experiences that can help to better understand the world in which we live, create references and enhance the critical spirit.

The viewing of a set of documentaries, the development of didactic activities and the joint debate can contribute to:
Working on emotions
As a script and art tool, documentary generates sensations and emotions that can be used to explain individual and collective experiences. Audiovisual has a decisive impact on adolescents while seeking references and creating their own guide to explain their emotions.
Form one’s own ethics
The MDF is a social festival, demanding, with special attention to sustainability and the defense of human rights. Therefore, the proposed documentaries and the derived didactic units refer directly to the ethical values and the learning of fundamental social rights.
Learn to work collaboratively
The didactic proposals are designed to work in group-class with the aim of generating collective opinion. They are activities that involve group work and the reasonable confrontation of ideas and ideals in an argumentable way.
Impact on reality
MDF proposes new perspectives and diverse realities to better understand the world in which we live and generate changes and improvements in our daily lives to have a better future. Young people are the future by definition and vision must be a window for the challenges that await us.
