Samouni Road follows the Samouni family in Gaza city as they rebuild their lives and memories after the tragic loss of the war of 2009, mixing documentary and animation images to portray resilience, community and the aftermath of the conflict.
Born in Palermo in 1969, Savona is an Italian documentary filmmaker, producer and photographer known for his works that explore migration, minority rights and historical memory, such as Samouni Road and Tahrir: Liberation Square.
