PLATE CAMERA WORKSHOP, GAIZKA TARO

This workshop explains the origins of photography and how plate cameras work, showing the similarities and differences with more modern film and digital cameras. The workshop will also show how, today, we can use new technologies to speed up and better control the photochemical development process. In the practical section, attendees will learn to use a 24×30 cm field camera from the early 20th century and a mid-20th-century monorail technical camera in 4×5″ format.
