Del breaking news al documental: construir una película desde la urgencia informativa (From Breaking News to Documentary: Building a Film from Informational Urgency) traces the process by which breaking news can become the starting point for long-term documentary projects, from the immediate coverage of an event to the making of a documentary film for the big screen.

Samuel Nacar. Documentary photographer and filmmaker whose work focuses on migration, social conflict, and depopulation. His projects explore two key aspects of migration: the impact on the communities left behind after mass emigration, and migratory routes as spaces of resistance. Winner of the Luis Valtueña award in 2025 and recipient of the Joana Biárnes grant in 2021. He is currently working on his documentary film Taranta.
