FRANK ADROVER I MERCADAL. FROM MENORCA TO THE CARIBBEAN

Born in Maó, Adrover developed, from Maó, an exceptional photographic career that took him from this Mediterranean island to the Caribbean, where he would go on to become one of the most prominent photographers of the Dominican Republic in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Presented by Salvador Tió, chemist and photo-historian. His research has been devoted mainly to the relationships between photography, science, and technology. He has taken part in conferences on the history of photography and is the author of several publications in Catalan, Spanish, French, and English.
