PHOTHOBOOK PRESENTATION: ‘RAVALl’ AND ‘HASTA QUE LA TIERRA AGUANTE’

Presentation of the photobooks Raval, by Pep Pérez, and Hasta que la tierra aguante, by Santi Donaire.

Raval is a documentary project about older women in Santa Catalina, Palma, who experience unwanted loneliness. Through their lives, the project also observes the transformation of the neighborhood and the effects of gentrification. Photographic research into the social and environmental consequences of Spain’s industrial agriculture model.

Pep Pérez. Professor of Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands and documentary photographer. His work addresses the social dimension of unwanted loneliness, aging, and urban transformations in neighborhoods.

Hasta que la tierra aguante is a photographic research project on the social and environmental consequences of Spain’s industrial agriculture model.

Santi Donaire (Jaén, 1988), documentary photographer and journalist based in Seville. He develops long-term journalistic projects across Spain and collaborates with various media outlets. His work combines photography and video, with a particular interest in cross-cutting issues such as democratic memory, climate change, and the defense of human rights.
